EuroEnglish

Moved my office at work and sometimes you find some strange stuff. Found this document. At least a little bit fun. :-D

EUROENGLISH

The European Commission has just announced an agreement that English will be the official language of the EU – rather than German (the other possibility).

As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty’s Government conceded that English spelling has some room for improvement, and has accepted a 5-year phase-in of the new rules, which would apply to the language and reclassify it as EuroEnglish. The agreed plan is as follows:

In year 1, the soft ‘c’ would be replaced with ‘s’. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. Also, the hard ‘c’ will be replased with ‘k’. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan now have one less letter.
There will be growing public enthusiasm in the sekond year, when the troublesome ‘ph’ is replased by ‘f’. This will reduse ‘fotograf’ by 20%!
In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Governments will enkourage the removal of all double letters, which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling! Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent ‘e’s in the language is disgrasful and wil be glad to eliminat them.
By year four, people wil be reseptiv to lingwistik korektions, such as replasing ‘th’ with ‘z’ and ‘w’ with ‘v’(thus saving more keyboard spas!).
During ze fifz year, ze unesesary ‘o’ kan be droped from vords kontaining ‘ou’ and similar changes vud of kors be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.
After zis fifz yer, ve vil hav a reli sensibil riten styl. Zer vil be no mor trubls or difikultis, and evriun vil find it ezi to understand ech ozer.

ZE DREMVIL FINALI KUM TRU!!!
Ve vil hav konkerd ze verld!
And hobbystuff? No updates yet. Sorry, no time. Hope won't die, but, well, there is so much else that I must do and the rest of the family is more important than I am. And I try to repair the relationship with the missus (she broke up twice with very harsh words just in May). She needs me, that's why I stay. So, sorry. No happy updates for now, but hope is hard to kill. :-D

Dog Blog

No 1/72 today either, but (now I'll probably misspell this, sorry. Can't see the followers) mekelnborg (fixed it) asked if the dogs got on well and a nice way to tell is to show. This is a little older video, but it ususally looks the same. Welcome to Colonel Shofer and Carlo Antonio (still can't see the followers but happened to see that you joined on another computer).

Walking

Yesterday I called a friend who's got two boxers and asked if he wanted to walk with me and Valter. Nah, it was an important meeting so Wednesday would be fine. Okay. The missus joined instead. We walked 90 minutes with a speed of about 6-7 km/h. Not possible to try to slow either Valter or the missus on her electric moped down. And when we were almost home my cellphone rang. It was that friend. It wasn't going to be a meeting and Valter heard who it was. So after I followed the missus homed and moved her to her ordinary wheelchair I went out for another 90 minutes. And cold it was too. But Valter was happy. Today it's only long day at work and just a 60 minutes walk when I come home at 1930. Well I get to see a lot of this part of town. :-D And fresh air!

Another weekend gone by

without any painting. Me and the missus have hired a some people to clean the apartement in a couple of weeks (no worries, known respected company!). But all the stuff you want gone or in order before you let them in is staggering. And also, an old friend of mine suddenly showed up (lives in Stockholm). Haven't seen him in almost 20 years. And this is pretty strange, but another old friend of his (also almost 20 years since they met the last time) lives in the house next to ours so we invited everybody for dinner. Wich was very very pleasant, but also very very late. Bedtime 2.30! Not used to the party-life anymore. Well if it hadn't been pleasant it wouldn't have been so late, but the next time we're going to tell them (which is true) that the missus must take her medicine at 22.30 so we must be by ourselves by that time. And then it takes about an hour before she can get to sleep. And Valter behaved! Not as when the missus boss visited. He went after their shoes, barked and looked at the door. That was VERY embarrasing! This time he was social. :-D
