Wyoming, 21st of December 1866

After a very long absence I return with a little dio I worked on during my vacation. I have for a long time thought about making a little scene depicting the Fetterman fight, but there have never been any native americans for a Winter fight. Almost noone for Summer fights either! :-/ I solved this the simple way by only showing the soldiers and calling it "The Unseen Foe".

As in real life some of the men fought in ACW before.

An unexpected party

Poor Brother Ottar was preparing to eat his quiet lonesome Christmas dinner when he suddenly heard a CRASH and his door fell out of his cell and a lot of people entered his little lonesome cell and shouted:

his friend Yorick, the giant deadie. He tried to take off his helmet, but it stuck so he took off his head instead. There are some advantages being a deadie. :-D For some reason Tarzan wasn't invited!

Stout Man from Bath also paid a visit and probaly was in the clothes-poker game ...

Hmm, since it is a Christmas dinner this fellow was invited by Ottar's friends.

Mr Butterbur seems to have recovered after the lion attack and is ready for some partying.

Sir Toby seems also to have recovered from the lion attack.

This fellow you can blame absolute everything for on this blog! Thanks Alex! Love him! :-D Of course he invited himself!

Old Father Fimbul is usually present at Christmas.

Eve seems to have forgotten her clothes, maybe she misunderstood what kind of party it was. Or she played clothes-poker while they were waiting and lost.

Father Folkvith had a son, Anund, who also joined the party. He always mock Brother Ottar though.

Poor Adam seems also to have lost the clothes-poker game. Wonder who won it ...

And a little pic on what I am working on now (and I haven't left the river, I am still working on it). Among others you can see The Lady In Red, Mr Blue with his lady-friends Miss Lavender, Miss Green and Miss Brown. A little scene that will be called Homecoming of the prince and all of the figures will be in the series about the magic lute. :-D

Report from X-mas and New Year (but no figures)

Shared the holidays with the missus mother and brother 2 hours north from my town. An area known for having a lot of snow (not very great with the missus' wheelchair). We took a pretty long walk with the dogs on the 23rd and this is how it looked then.

In the evening we put up some Christmas stuff (in Sweden, for some strange reason, we celebrate Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day. Don't know why, it's just something that is).

And our first REAL christmas tree for years. Both the missus and me realised that we haven't had a real christmas tree since the early 80s. Our parents were practical and bought plastic ones, but now it is back to the real stuff!

White Christmas? This is how it looked on Christmas Eve!

We went shopping, but since I was the dog-walker I didn't enter any shop! :-D Instead I played tourist with the dogs! We found a little canyon. Pretty deep and with a creek at the bottom so I didn't try to go down and to the other side.

But it was very close to the local school so probably does the children play a lot there. I would have, I know!

On New Years Eve I took a walk in the forest with Valter (his friend, Dogge, was playing with another dog). This is the road. It was a little adventure to walk on it.

Full of ice! But it didn't get better when we left the road! I didn't get a bath in the little stream on the side of the path, but it was close.

Went home on New Years Day and just when we started it started to snow!

And home! Can't somebody play with Valter? No problem! I played with him. He met two friends yesterday, three friends this morning. Got a date this evening. And plan some more dates for him. :-D

Oh yes! I'm going to win this!

Pics for the Xmas competition are taken and sent to Benno. No answer yet (he's probably stunned by my amazing marvelous entry). No painting this weekend and no big buys either. Bought a new car and then our dishwasher died. When you have big costs there is usually more to come, sigh. Well, got what I need (not for Gata Forest (would love to get my hands on some of the Valdemar figs (but they'll have to wait)) so that's not a big problem. The Valentine Competition will be a close call. If everything works out as planned there going to be some fun for/from me at Benno's, but that will take some time. A small Xmas-pic while we're waiting for the competition pics (wrong scale, don't know the maker, but the right theme :-D).
